Brief Description
I am trying to see how much interest there is in developing a closed source 3D engine, mostly for educational purposes.
Target Aim
Hopefully, a commercial product with a low price, depending on democratic vote from developers, a freeware version or trial will be offered.
Compensation
I have a proper hosted server (located in Australia) to maintain full up time for the development, after offseting this, and any other cost that forms in production, I'd be prepared to offer equal shares off net profits based on time applied - can be discussed.
Technology
C++ programming language, visual studio recomended to intergrate with Team Foundation Server, DirectX Back Bone, essentially this will be another Ogre/Irlicht/etc... 3D engine - targeting windows 7 and DirectX11, with DirectX10&9 Legacy support. Loaders for common texture formats, and model formats are also planned, currently plans are only loosely sketched, I first want to determine project interest.
Talent Needed
Coders only really, C++ Native Experts, and DirectX Gurus, I personally am a mere hobbiest, I understand the principles of what I plan, but am currently untested in larger project work.
Team Structure
I am the team at the moment, I started many years ago modding, if I recall correctly it started way back with bolder dash, and the shoot'em construction set on the Commodore 64, I have a colourful history with computers, but no milestone achievements.
Web Site
TBA. I've applied for the server, and am waiting for connection and approval for the hosting company, expected time for the server to come online is still a few days, I'll edit this post with a link to a basic PHPBB, and hopefully can get some form of IRC up and running...

Reply here(to express interest), or mail me at v3ngenc3@gmail.com for any serious questions - please excuse any delays in replies - my timezone is GMT+10 - provided I'm not too buisy you should get a reply to any questions within 24 hours.
Previous work by me
I've mostly spent my time studying cryptography, in particular chacha style salsa routines, though I have dabbled in a few different ideas of block cyphers. Since my talent in art is pretty poor, I've done little with graphics. I am a good researcher however, and seldom need post help on forums, as I tend to prefer to track down my own problems - this is usually quicker for me.
I have a nice library of books here in my room, have read them through a few times, I feel capable, and currently have full-time to throw at this - though - if I am accepted - I will be starting college roughly around june/july, which will occupy 3 days of my week.
Additional Information
Please keep the static down on my thread, if moderators delete it, so be it, but I would ask people to only reply if they are truely interested. A lot remains open for discussion, though, and since this project is intended as closed source, I'd really like to keep more focused discussion on the details contained in more private messages. Feel free to say aye or neigh here, but for more information, I'd rather use eMail for the moment. later when things start becoming more concrete, we will likely be using SSL, or some other public/private key authentication on things.
This project is intended to be as big as it is, it may be months, depending on team enthusiasm before a stable version is attained, then the long haul of gathering an audiance, there will be a lot of work in the onset, with no real reward until much later in development, this is something any potential applicants will have to accept - feel free to discuss anything on the rewards side of things, I am open to offers (this is why I make this post).
