Many years ago I did an experiment with eating cheese to induce dreams, after dreaming about a burger eating kangaroo.

Recently, I've been drinking very strong roibos tea (by boiling a bag of the stuff in a saucepan) and last night I had a pretty insane dream.

I was a secret agent in training. The office was the school storeroom where I did a summer internship for two weeks, fixing the computers; I was 15 at the time, so this was 11 years ago. I was given my final assignment before I was fully instated: to assassinate somebody. They gave me a map, a handgun, and a helicopter. (The firearms cupboard was the cupboard where we used to store the cleaning chemicals for keyboards). I went up to the roof and flew the helicopter out through the door (yes, the roof had a door) and spent some time flying around the city seeing loads of random stuff which I cant remember now. I failed to find the guy I had to assassinate because I couldn't read the map; it consisted of a layer of paper and a layer of plastic and you had to line up the plastic and hold the map to the light, and I couldn't do this while flying the helicopter.

Then I was standing in the market square, with one of the secret agents who had been training me. I said that I couldn't find the boat the guy was supposed to be on. Then the moon opened up and a Cyberman head appeared in the moon. This was the guy I was supposed to be assassinating. I didn't shoot him because I didn't think the bullet would get all the way to the moon, and because there were loads of people standing around.

Should I stop drinking this tea? Maybe I shouldn't be making it so strong?

You should have taken the shot.

One way to induce extremely vivid dreams is nicotine.

Probably not a good idea, so try at your own risk, etc, but sleeping with a nicotine patch will cause some very vivid dreams. I've tried it a number of times (though I used only 1/3rd of a patch, since I'm not a smoker) and it most definitely works - had some interesting experiences with it, though, as with all drugs, its probably bad for your health and shouldn't be done.

You should have taken the shot.

If I'd used some kind of ballistics calculator, and taken the shot from space, I could have hit the point I aimed at. But given the muzzle velocity of the bullet and the speed the moon moves at, this might have meant slingshotting it off of the earth, and the lack of precision in the powder charge might have made an accurate calculation impossible.

Also, it was just a dream.
