(N.B. Hopefully in the right forum here)
I am trying to convert a custom lightwave exporter to work in Maya. Has anyone got experience in this area as mel scripting is not something I have done before (looks very similiar to php at first glance) and I would like to know of any potential pitfalls others have come across.
There's many tutorials across the web so I'm not looking for a long winded explanation of how mel scripting works I am sure I can source that myself but any tips, tricks do's and dont's that you guys/girls have picked up will be very beneficial.
