Brief description:
I am a graduate game designer looking to start creating games for mobile devices. I have been looking for a job in the gaming industry with no luck and finally have come to the solution of making my own games. I am looking to make simple and fun games, following the successful tradition of many mobile games very much like your Angry Birds, Cut the Rope etc. I live in Shropshire, West Midlands UK, meaning that there isn't a bustling game development scene, however I am seriously considering applying for government business grants in either Shropshire or Wales (I live pretty much on the border). I am looking for a someone who can handle all of the coding side of development, as I am skilled enough to design and create art.[color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]The perfect candidate would be someone in a similar situation to me, finding it hard to break into the industry and if you live in Shropshire, that is a major bonus. I am hoping for a partner to split the development and success with.

Target aim:

To create games for mobile devices, and to successfully start up a sustainable business making games. One day moving on to bigger projects such as social games and Xbox Live Arcade/Playstation Network games.

Compensation:

[color="#1c2837"]I am looking for a direct partner, so although no pay, revenue will be split 50/50. I am willing to put forward any money I can for licences and other costs.

Technology:

[color="#1c2837"]Any programming technology will be discussed and as for art & design I am able to create art using free software, and designing with paper never hurts. Licences for industry professional tools could be a possibility, depending on the amount of money I am able to put into this and how much we make from our games.

Talent needed:

[color="#1c2837"]'A partner in crime' that will be able to deal with the programming side of development, as well as a say in what games we make, and their design.

Team structure:

[color="#1c2837"]Me, Ben Bird-Jones. I am able to create 2D and 3D art, and am a fully capable game designer. email me or post on this topic if you are seriously interested. I'm sick of having no industry experience, and am having trouble getting any without it, a real catch 22.My portfolio: www.benbirdjones.daportfolio.com My blog: www.bird-brainz.blogspot.com

Website:

[color="#1c2837"]My portfolio My blog

Contacts:

[color="#1c2837"]benbirdjones@hotmail.co.uk

Previous Work by Team:

[color="#1c2837"]I have completed various work during my degree, and have also done some personal work for my portfolio.

Additional Info:

[color="#1c2837"]I am really hoping to get something going by new year, I want serious candidates who don't eventually flake away from this team. As I said, this would be suited to a programmer who is having trouble breaking in and would like to start making games in what will have the potential to be a successful development team.
