Does anyone knows any resources about 2D Game Engine design and such(mostly the graphic engine)? Or does anyone have a well working engine that they would allow me some tips? I really want to build a good graphic engine for my 2D games.

I have created a well designed 2D wrapper using Direct3D Sprites, u can download it at my site, click below.
Though going off your username ''vbisme'' it seems u code in VB right? My wrapper is in C++ so that may be a problem.

I am currently working on a 2D platform game in the style of turrican/metal slug meets Sonic the Hedgehog (ish)... In the process of writing this game I have developed quite a few nice 2D engine elements. I intend to create a website soon and probably put up some tutorials regarding this stuff. If you''re interested, mail me at lbc2@le.ac.uk and I''ll let you know if and when I put them up.

Oh yeah, as SikCiv says - if you''re programming in VB this may be a problem, my code is C++ too. I highly recommend you switch!

hehehe, my username is highly misleading. I know more C/C++ than I do VB probably.
