Programming collages...

I was just wondering if anyone could suggest a good programming collage. I''ve been looking around, but the one''s I''ve looked at only have CS majors with very little programming involved. I live in Oklahoma, US, but I''m interested to hear about any good collage out there so I can at least know what to look for. Also, another thing, would it be better to just get a CS major with a Mathematics minor and the focus on programming in grad school? I just really don''t know what I''m doing and what to look for and I live in a town whose largest industries are bailing hay and antiquing, so my school counselors really aren''t too helpful.

Dude, that''s college . A collage is a blend of several images.

There''s about 3 threads on colleges in the "Game Programming" and "For Beginners" forums. Check ''em out.

The first thing you should know about college is how to spell it.

Anyway, I''m not sure of any degree in "programming," but CS or CSE (computer science and engineering) in my case is really the way to go. A degree in programming would probably come from some trade school, but a degree from a university looks a lot better on your resume.

True, CS is not 100% programming, but you do need to know other things besides that "cout" puts text on a screen. That''s what the other courses in that degree will teach you.

I recommend a school that will teach you not only more than one language, but the computer architecture, other OSes besides windows (UNIX/MAC) and a good mathematical and science base.
