Hi, When a Window is created using the standard Windows class, the background can be Black, Gray, White etc... If instead I want to have a Bitmap displayed how do I go about doing that? I have managed to get a Bitmap on the background but keeping it there is a problem. If I use th WM_PAINT command that really slows down the program. Any suggestions? Thanks Indy

Is it my imagination, or is that now one has a solution to my question...

I have posed this question once before and got exactly the same overwhelming response - NOTHING.

Someone please help..

I believe you have to create a brush from the BITMAP that you want to paint using CreatePatternBrush and have the region of your window. You can use GetWindowRgn to get the entire window''s region or you can use CreateRectRgn (or one of the other region functions) to make a custom region to paint to. Then use FillRgn to paint the BITMAP to the region.
