I''m a newbie SDL programmer i never made a program using this library i''ve only programmed some c++ i''m using the free borland c++ compiler 5. How can i instal the SDL libraries so i can compile the code with sdl. The thing they say about it on the site from SDL isn''t very clear to my. Thanks gobelair

What I''d try first: Download one of the MSVC dev kits. Put the include folders in a SDL folder in your include directory. Use implib on the SDL DLL, and put that in your lib directory. There''s another library called "SDLmain.lib", but I''m not sure if it''s required. If that doesn''t work, try rebuilding the library and DLL yourself from the source, and use your own copy.

Implib will work correctly on the dll, so no need to rebuild the whole thing(though it compiles as is in Borland). For SDL_main.lib, I wasn''t succesfull at retransforming it into Borland''s format. So I just built my own.

You simply create a library project and only add SDL_main.cc. compile it an there you go!

You can also skip the SDLmain.lib and simply include SDL_main.cc in your project.
