The commercial license listed on your web site says "Tools and libraries in binary and source code form" for $5500. Are you really distributing the complete source to the engine at this price?

I can speak on this matter because I was discussing it with Chris just days ago.

Yes! The complete source for the system is available for $5500.

The new price makes it easier for game developers to be able to purchase the code and tweak it to meet their individual needs. There are still copyrights in place which do not allow redistribution of the source, but it certainly opens up a new level of accessibility for those who wish to make modifications and optimize or alter the engine to meet their product needs.

It should be noted that if you purchase the code and alter it for your own use, the alterations will not necessarily be supported or included in future releases

Wow, that''s great. I''m sure he''ll get more hits on a $5,500 source code fee than his old $100,000 fee!

I wonder if us current users are "grandfathered in" to get the source??

If you want to purchase the source and have us deduct the original purchase price from the $5500, then yes, no problem

Just fill in the order form and we''ll send you a rebate along with the source code

I suppose that could be considered "grandfathered in"......

Where do current owners fit in the picture? We currently have the source to the tools, but not the library thus it seems we are neither of the two options you have presented on the web site, but rather a combination of both.

Users that have the source for the tools already can modify them and distribute the tools along with your games.

The new license terms do not apply to people that have licensed it earlier under different terms.
