Hello everyone. I think I have a somehwat easy question at hands here, so I will try to explain this as well as I can.
I am working on an electronics project with some of my friends. We are creating a fully fuctional "CPU". It has a 4-bit wide data bus, and a 4-bit wide address bus. Now, how much memory can a 4-bit address bus address ? I would think 2^4=16 bytes. Is this correct? Someone told me it was not, and that confused me because I thought it was incorrect. If it is wrong, how much can it address? Okay, and let's say it does address 16 bytes... why is it 16 bytes and not say... 16 nibbles or 16 bits or something else similar? I hope you understand what I mean. Any clarification on this is appreciated, so thank you very much.
