Laptops

They can do anything a PC can do but more expensively. They can be upgraded but I''m not sure who sells parts for them.

I''ve got a Dell Inspiron (5100e I think, it''s @home) with a VERY nice ATI Rage chipset. It runs my OpenGL apps about as good as my development system at work..

I just got a Dell Inspiron 8100 with a GeForce 2 Go in it and it rocks. The only problem I''ve had is that the WinXP drivers seem a little fishy (crashed the machine twice in the last week). I guess for Windows that''s not too bad though.

I you''re gonna get a notebook (laptops are the ones that weigh 3+ kg) then get a Titanium G4, those things are great, and they run OS X...
