How do you read/write raw data from a disk, as in the whole thing: boot record, clusters, files, empty space, and all.

Is it true that you can squeze nearly 2 MB out of a 1.47MB disk this way?
Chess is played by three people. Two people play the game; the third provides moral support for the pawns. The object of the game is to kill your opponent by flinging captured pieces at his head. Since the only piece that can be killed is a pawn, the two armies agree to meet in a pawn-infested area (or even a pawn shop) and kill as many pawns as possible in the crossfire. If the game goes on for an hour, one player may legally attempt to gouge out the other

I have a better idea, dont use a win 95 booty, thats bad. use a win 98 BOOTY! that way, you get instant cd rom support and no issues.

That''s strange ... every Win98 boot disk I''ve ever used has included CD support. Perhaps your CD drive isn''t supported by the generic drivers on the disk?

WAIT!!! Every freakin'' Winblows 98 CD is bootable. Don''t act dumb! Go into BIOS, place the Atapi as first Boot device, throw Win 98 Cd in it, and reboot. Freakin'' hell, it works!

Win98 boot floppies include drivers for standard IDE CD-ROM
drives. If you''ve got a SCSI drive (most likely an old CD-ROM
burner, if the whole system itself isn''t SCSI), then you have to
fight with dos drivers.
As far as being able to write raw data to a floppy, can''t you
write straight to the device like under *nux? Something like
"type disk.img > a:"? You can fit more than 1.4 megs on a
floppy. You can either fit 2 megs of raw data to a "1.44" meg
floppy, or about 1.7 megs with a special file system.

And the usual, Win98 and later CD-Roms are bootable. Win95
CD-Roms are not.
