I''ve got my chatterbot (chatterbox?) working well enough to get it to write stuff. I want to use IRC to teach it stuff, but I can''t use IRC at school, and I don''t have internet at home. Was anyone bord enough to keep logs of what was said, or can think of any other data that resembles a script of a conversation with 2+ people? Probably not, but I thought I''d ask, because otherwise I''m stuck having conversations with my self. Well, that''s my plea. I''ll be working on it some more tonight, and I''ll be back here tomorrow to see if you know where I can get some relevent information. You could also email me I guess, and if you don''t know how to figure it out, it''s smart_idiot@mail.com If it works well, I''ll eventually donate it to GameDev.Net. It would be funny to see a simulation of the chat. It would be better if it could connect to the server and actually become a part of the conversation, but I don''t know how, so I won''t worry about it. Maybe later when I''m polishing it.
Chess is played by three people. Two people play the game; the third provides moral support for the pawns. The object of the game is to kill your opponent by flinging captured pieces at his head. Since the only piece that can be killed is a pawn, the two armies agree to meet in a pawn-infested area (or even a pawn shop) and kill as many pawns as possible in the crossfire. If the game goes on for an hour, one player may legally attempt to gouge out the other

You could use Tiberian Adventure Logs. (telnet to tiberia.homeip.net:1337.) I''m sure some people there have plenty of logs.

Gaah!

Tell ya what... I''ll idle in a couple channels tonight and save the logs for you, and then mail them to you.

Sweet! That''s perfect. . . I think. Might be a little much swearing to use in a school project, but at least I don''t have to teach it. I''ll need to write a program to convert it into my program''s format first, but I think that it will be okay. I''ll let you know when/if it works. Thanks, Draqza.

I finished the program to convert the logs, but it seems to be taking a while for parsurbot to read it all. I''m going to have to do some optimizations to the code. In case you care, it''s short for ''PARagon SURrogate chatterBOT''. I can''t wait to see how well it worked.

It sort of works. I''ll tweek it over the weekend and fix some bugs.

I''ll present it then.
