I am trying to learn directX and compile the samples included with the SDK Before compiling I did several things... I added the directories for the includes and the lib files and I also went to the settings of the projects and manually addad the lib files to the link tab... after trying several other things I still can''t get these things to compile without giving me a bunch of linking errors. Is there something Im forgetting or what? If there is or you have any suggestions please let me know Thanx - JoshMan

Telling us which compiler you''re using would be a good start!

If you''re using MS Visual C++ 6 or above, look at the samples in the SDK for files with the .DSW extension, these are Developer Studio Workspace files. These reference one or more project files (.DSP). They already contain all the relevent compiler settings needed to build the samples. Simply double click on the .DSW files to load the samples!
