Hello, As you know Pentium CPUs process double data type faster than float data type. But i wonder if this is the case also for graphics boards. I wonder if graphics board CPU''s implemented Intel''s way of processing floating numbers. I have an voodoo3 board but unfortunately I cant find any technical information about this kind card. So if anybody have some technical knowledge about gfx board cpus or know any address that I can get information, I very appreciate. Thank you for your time.

I am 99% sure that all modern graphics cards are optimised for floating point numbers, but perhaps someone else knows better than I do.

I think Voodoo boards (& I think NVidia too...not so sure though) usually use a fixed point format for calculations...I saw it in some doc''s somewhere - it was either Glide or NVidia docs
