Trying to remember the name of a game.

I'm trying to remember the name of an RPG that I played maybe 10 years ago. Pretty insane, but here I am. The camera angle of the game should be similar to Neverwinter Nights or Divinity -- it's looking down on you. It's a PC game, for sure. I played the game around 2004-2006, when I was fairly young, so I'm not really sure how accurate this is. Regardless, I included a map below that I drew from memory in Paint in 10 minutes... very impressive. I don't exactly remember what the goal of the game was, though I believe it has something to do with God, and that involves the flash -- I might just be mixing this with something else. You start the game on a road; on a ledge. In the distance, you can see some sort of a monastery that, I believe, explodes in a bright flash? I could be making this up, I'm really not sure. Regardless, you continue down the hill, along the wavy road, and at the bottom there's a stone that you can use to fast travel to others stones, if I remember correctly. After the road turns, you come across a fallen tree that blocks the path, and some NPC (either some raider or merchant?). You go back and head north, through the plains where you encounter enemies that drop loot, and where you can open chests. Further north, there's a small bridge and to the right is another one of those stones. There might be undead here that you fight. To the left is the path to the monastery, and further down some sort of a swamp. Turning back and following the road is the only way to progress, as I remember. The road that leads to behind the fallen tree is filled with enemies that you can run past or fight. They're very difficult, since there's a lot of them, though. Once you get through that, you reach a town with some quests and something, and I think I remember there being an escort quest going from the house to the right along to the other side of the town -- I believe it involves the house owner's daughter/son. Another stone is here, I believe. The north exit leads to a church/cathedral, and a big graveyard that's filled with undead. It might all sound far-fetched or whatever, and I would definitely be amazed if someone would be able to help me out, though I doubt it. Again, this is all from memory -- it could all be correct 100%, or all completely wrong. Also, I believe the item that you're searching for is connected to God, something holy -- for the undead, I'm guessing. There might also be gargoyles or something of that sort at the monastery/castle place.

Perhaps the first Spellforce game (subtitled the Order of the Dawn)? Lots of details on that map and in that description match but then again lots of other details (single character, no mention of third person camera, the 'God' stuff as opposed to circle mages stuff, etc.) do not.

Silverfall? Never played it and doesn't fit the timeline perfectly, but the story (according to wikipedia) starts with some form of tutorial where some evil mage destroys a city, which results in some chaos and the early game may play out near a refuge camp.

Do you remember if the camera rotated or if it was fixed, and if fixed, could it possibly be 2D or are you certain it's 3D?
