I''m in. AOL & I have had some nasty run-ins in the past.

Nobody with any sense uses AOL. They charge twice as much as any provider in this country. And they''re called AMERICA online. Excuse me, does this look like America to you?

I thought that telling people that cheap things suck and using our expensive "top of the line" thing IS what America is all about.

Think about it.

Gas, Food, Things sold on TV. Most people avoid cheap(er) stuff.

BTW I tested gas in my car (1990 Mustang 5.0 GT) and the cheap gas went about 20 miles farther than Shell gas. Also 87 octane went a little farther than 92.

About the gas thing: every cars engine is designed for a specific octane, if you use too high or too low, then your gas mileage will suffer. Your car''s manual should say what octane is best.

I use AIM, but only because my friends do. I still have an AOL account, also. I get approx. 100 pieces of mail a day, all junk. Eventually, I just stopped looking.

AOL is evil, and is one of my arch-enemies. Count me in.

I did manage to get about 50 free floppies from AOL.
It was so nice of them.

Yes, but with grand global mergers and cultural diffusion, isn''t EVERYWHERE soon going to look like America?

I was thinking about this(I didnt want to start a new topic, and this topic seems like a good place to post this):

If MicroSoft recently invented a time machine, and decided that they wanted to prevent the World Trade Center tragedy, what do you think they would do?

Go back to a few hours before the WTC had a airplane fly into it, and tell the government or something, right? That would be the smart thing to do.

But no, not MicroSoft. They would go back to when the airplane was invented, kill the Wright brothers, and destroy all documents!

LOL. I would bet my life on that too.

Actually, I don''t have much against AOL since I just use AIM

Of course, there was a time long, long ago which I used AOL, and it sucked. But since I don''t have to anymore, it''s no big deal to me

If Microsoft had a time machine Bill Gates would be Supream Ruler of the World by now.
...maybe they will have one, with a little alteration Bill Gates could look like Hitler...Maybe he did try to take over the world...I guess we''ll never know.
