Ok, I've never really had to use the DirectX debugging features before, error returns, program traces, etc. have always done the job, but this time I'm stumped. I have the DX 8.0 sdk installed, but I'm using an older interface for compatibility reasons. Apparently Microsoft has changed the error return values(I've read several places they don't guarantee them), because IDirectSound::CreateSoundBuffer() is returning an error code that I cannot find a match for. What's the best way to figure out why the function is failing?
