Hello. I have a very annoying problem, and I am glad I am not the only one that has this. I decided to install my old joystick today. During this, somehow, everything got screwed up. I am running Windows 2000 Pro, and I have a ENSONIQ SoundscapeVIVO sound card. Well, now all my game port and sound card drivers are screwed up. I can''t seem to find the service packs or .DLLs anywhere. I did a Google search, but got mostly dead links and things that didn''t help. When I run a scan for new hardware, it says I have two ENSONIQ SoundscapeVIVOs I have to install. I don''t know why it has two of the exact same thing listed. If I install a driver, it gives me the same messages at bootup. Now my sound doesn''t work, and it is all very annoying. This problem seems to be happening to others as well, so I am sure help shouldn''t be too hard to get. Can someone help me out? All I want is working sound and my Gravis Blackhawk joystick to work, like it did 5 minutes before I tried installing the joystick. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Regards. ===== Khaos =====

Download the newest drivers from Ensoniq(Cheap soundcard?), throw away all references to you''re soundcard(Right mouse on "My Computer", second tab, Hardware ...). Reboot, it says, new soundcard found, install drivers, done. At least it works perfectly for me! I use an Creative SB Live! 1024 and I had one time problems with it. Done it on this way. Otherwise to to reinstall the sounddrivers from the hardware profiles.
