Can anyone enlighten me on why C++ is SO much more popular than VB when it comes to game development? What are the pro''s and con''s of each (apart from the obvious ones)... Anyone?

Kindly search the threads already on this site for a massive collection of "X vs Y" debates/religious wars. The search tool is in the upper right of the lower portion of the screen, next to "login" (below the GameDev.Net links); enter "C++ vs VB" and enjoy.

This thread is doomed to become a C++ vs VB flame ware! Maybe the GDNet staff should add a link in the upper frame with a title "VB vs C++" or "C++ vs VB". If you want to know why C++ is more popular than Vb, try them both and you will find out. I use both at the moment but I still prefer C++, why? Speed, more control etc.
