If you can hold off a few more weeks, Jim Adams is coming out with a book which does just what you''re asking. His website is at located here. If you follow the link to Amazon, it looks like the book is coming out Jan. 15th.

I for one have ordered Jim''s book off Amazon and can''t wait until it arrives. If you''re not familiar with his work/skinned mesh it might be a good idea to look at his tutorials on this site about parsing .x files
