It would be nice if the forums had a link we could click on that would save the entire thread, rather than having to save each individual page... there haven''t been any ridiculously long posts recently, but I remember when End Goblin Genocide, RPG Stats, and some of those other double-digit-page threads were running it took me quite some time to save them all.

You can write your own tool to save them if you want. HTTP is a pretty easy protocol. For example, if you sent 66.28.17.166 (www.gamedev.net) on port 80 the message "GET http://www.gamedev.net/\n\n" (without the quotes) you''d get fed the entire first page (with a header, but it''s easy to bypass that). Now, close the socket, and do it again. You can have it go through a thread by changing the text after the ? in the address (just look at an existing thread to get the idea).

At first I thought by "saving the thread" you meant adding it to your book marks, and I almost died with laughter imagining you clicking on "Watch this thread" several dozen times to save each page

Once I came to my senses and read it over again (which i''m happy I did, otherwise I woulda been the idiot, hee hee) I realized what you really meant. Maybe that can be added to the forums when they are redone. Dave''ll have to answer that tho.
