apparently it strips spaces from forms, though.

Opera is the best browser on Earth. Soon, it will take over Microsoft like a virus, spreading until it kills the megacorporation with its free browser.

Opera 6 = winnner

slightly faster than IE (u wont notice at start cuz of cache build up etc..)

very neat skinning (dimming)

its not very resource demanding and the prog itself is only 3mb zipped (10 with java)

built in E-mail

*.png transparency compitable (unlike eg IE6 under win98)
[edit: for example, my sig doesnt have a grey background really, its a partly transparent *.png image]

oh.. did I mention the "refuse popups" option ?

Ok there are some issues about page layout etc (its very rare now with opera 6 actually), but when people make web-pages they should follow the W3C standard, not the "standard" that MS is trying to introduce through IE.

I also like Opera 6 very much.

Crashes about once a day, but that''s acceptable. At first I thought I may use it for "something", now I do about 90 percent of my browsing with it! It''s just awesome....

There are a few issues, though, it doesn''t show all the pages correctly....

One question.. how do you know that it isnt IE that shows the page wrong ? After all, opera uses the W3C standard ..I have also noticed that IE sometimes interpret whatever=1 as whatever=0 which somtimes causes layout only tested in IE to look different in Opera.

Not for me . 5.12 has some issues with 10+ flash thingies in one page, but 6 seems to get rid of those.

Opera is more standards compliant than most other browsers. Any page that uses browser specific or ''risky'' HTML won''t show correctly in Opera. Any time you see a page that doesn''t display correctly, look at the HTML; look for non-standard HTML.

Hey be careful how you talk to rhino. He will curse you like he did me. My sig is supposed to say N-i-n-t-e-n-d-o instead of microsoft. Observe. When i write Microsoft is comes out Microsoft. See. That is supposed to say when I write N-i-n-t-e-n-d-o (without the dashes).

And opera rocks. It runs on every platform and it has these cool things called mouse gestures.
