are there 2d isometric games tat uses 3d terrain ? in some games like scattered galaxy the grounds looks like its realli using 3d..

What do you mean? A game can''t really be 2D and 3D at the same time, so you will have to clarify your definitions.

Myth, Myth II, Myth III. All use 3-D terrains (and perhaps some objects like arrows) but 2-D sprites for all the characters.
