I'd like to start by saying thank you to the developers who have taken time to give me feedback on my posts so far. All of the information has been very valuable in figuring out which areas I should be putting my effort into improving in order to give myself the best chances of being successful after graduation. This week I've now found myself wondering, what is the best way to focus this. Should I try and build one big project, or should I just focus on building individual systems in order to show what I'm capable of and further expand my abilities. I lean towards individual systems because I feel that it gives me more room for improving the fundamentals, but it also means that certain aspects won't be showcased, such as how well I can optimize systems or build a cohesive design, but are those things that I should even be worried about at the entry level? or should I just be sure that if a company wants something implemented I can implement it? I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

Maybe try this book. Start building a game. A book is a good resource because it has a start and finish to accomplish a goal, rather than trying to make the next big video game and wondering where to start and where to get your next answer.
