can't post an aswer in my thread

The best advice I can offer is “try again.” I often have the same problem. Persistence will save the day.

I'm aware of the issue and looking into it. Some of the recent changes to optimize page loading etc may be the cause.

I was able to start without problem this thread, but writing answers has not worked.

That one worked. 🙂 Some fixes have been made. Is it better now? Or still disappearing.

Yes it worked, but I saw a mesage about some kind of error befor. But now it's defenetly better

And now again not working. After some time this mesage apears for some short time:

More of the bottlenecks creating these problems removed today.

I've had the issue for almost a year maybe. I always copy to a file in case it doesn't go through and I can try again. There was a point where I tried over a couple days and it didn't work. I removed all ad-blockers as well just to see. It's been better lately I think.

This week is maybe a bad week with the DDoS mitigations (still ongoing). 🙂 But yes I expect this to be much better now.

Have read about that DDoS, really bad.

Looks like the problem is back. For many days I was not able to post answers. Now there is a message saying it was posted, but it was not.

Now after some time the post appeared.

My impression is the problem did not really get better, but hard to say.

Some observations i've made over time after trying to post (recent weeks / months):

There can be an error message (red box) of post having failed, but few minutes later it appears. (causing the many bouble posts we see)
There can be no error message, site just hangs and does nothing, but eventually the post eppears later regardless (or not).

After attempting to post, thread site usually hangs for some minutes displaying nothing, but evnetually some server error message (now we see cloudflare page saying problem is on gamedev.net)

Failed attempts of posting can be seen in notifications, showing mods have a hard time too.

Even in times of heavy issues, PM system still works. (slow, but it does)
However, if i communicate with two users alternately, it can happen that a PM goes to the wrong user. (Happened often enough i'm sure it's not my mistake).
This is not a new problem. To one user it even happened a PM went to a public forum thread instead.

I assume: PM mostly works, and making new threads mostly works, but posting replies rarely works. Maybe that's a trace.

Edit: No problems today for my two posts.
