You can get it from http://www.microsoft.com/directx/default.asp although it can take a lot of searching. I know it''s somewhere in the developer section. Of course, it''s the entire SDK, I don''t know if you want all that, or just those files that you listed...

Actually Microsoft made it easy. Go to msdn.microsoft.com/directx and click on the DirectX 8.1 SDK and then click on the archives link in the left frame. Here''s a direct link to simplify things even further:

It is still possible to use DirectX 7 COM objects in DirectX 8.1 incase you thought that you had to have the older version to use older interfaces.

Does any one know where I can get hold of the documentation for DirectX 7.0a seperately as I already have the SDK for DirectX 8.1 but it has no information on DirectDraw 7 which is what I need. I don''t really want to download the Direct 7.0a SDK just to get the docs!

I can find in it online form on the MSDN site but not a downloadable version. Anyone know where I could get it?

In regards to the orignal poster, here''s the link to the full DirectX 7.0a SDK.

You used to be able to get the documentation from the Microsoft website. Now you have to download the whole DX7 SDK for some reason.
