Greetings

I am introducing my self to the community. I am a 39 year old developer who recently started working again. I used to be a floor technician for Banner Medical at clinics and did government facilities as I was maintenance; although they are all under NDAs. This was not my calling and but the work was great as it was high profile. I worked for The Shannon S Martin Co.

I love everything about programming. This includes design to development, but the only problem I run into is obtaining assets such as models / animations, textures / images and audio (sound effects and tracks). I now have learned how to find assets due to the internet. I can program in C / C++, Visual Basic, x86-16/32/64 Assembler, Python, HTML / Java Script / CSS / PHP and some SQL knowledge. I study linker / loaders, interpreters, compilers, machine code for x64, game engines, artificial intelligence including deep learning, design patterns and some other area of general coding.

I am very interested in programming. I love the field and seek education in all topics. I spend my time programming in C++ mainly, although I am embracing x64 assembler. I am currently a student at Univeristy of Advancing Technology with Artificial Intelligence as a major for a bachelor's and have been a student for 6 months. I want to engage in engine design and development with people who are interested. Topics discussing the business side would be also interesting. Anyone out there who wants to discuss this, or other, programming topics.

If you're wanting to introduce yourself, go for it. Welcome to the forums. You'll find nearly 3 decades of people's discussions here on gamedev.net, so often if you're looking for answers you can find some discussions around them in the archives, please create new discussions rather than reviving long-dead discussions. Don't expect introductions back from others about themseleves as we've all done it many times over the years, here in the Lounge area of the site, and developers try not to not repeat themselves.

Fishing for other people who want to discuss something isn't really a good fit for discussion boards. If you have something specific you want to post discuss, please ask those specific questions.

Your post feels like you got a class assignment to post somewhere as an introduction to joining the wider communities, which is something we find every semester. While joining in the conversations can be valuable in expanding your world, unfortunately when given as a classroom assignment it has almost no value. If you're interested in any of those topics, we have areas devoted to the business side, an area devoted to AI as it pertains to games, and to engines and middleware. and of course, please review our community guidelines. All of these topics have value in the industry. If you have an actual question, feel free to ask it.

Well, good luck. If you make an interesting topic, I'll certainly chime in with my opinion.

Walk with God.
