Hi everyone,
I’m a solo developer working on my first adventure game in Unity during my spare time.
I started building it recently using online assets, learning as I go, and trying to put together a small but meaningful experience. The game follows a young archer exploring forests, ruins, spirits, puzzles, and philosophical themes about fear, courage, death, spirituality, and the meaning of the path we choose.
So far, I’ve been working on third-person movement, archery, melee combat, enemies, chests, breakable objects, missions, dialogue, puzzles, basic HUD, and performance improvements.
Everything is still early, rough, and far from polished, but I’m trying to improve one system at a time and eventually release a small playable demo.
For other solo devs: at this stage, what would you focus on first? Better combat feel, enemy AI, camera and movement polish, visual presentation, a short playable demo
I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have been through this stage before.
