What is the minimum useful dashboard for a small mobile game team?

For small mobile game teams that monetize with ads, I’m curious what people consider the minimum useful set of metrics to review regularly.

Larger studios often have dedicated people watching dashboards, daily graph checks, and weekly deep dives. But many small teams do not have a data analyst or business person looking at this every day.

If a small team only had time to check a simple weekly dashboard, what would you include?

My current shortlist would be:

  • revenue

  • impressions

  • eCPM

  • fill rate / match rate

  • country split

  • placement performance

  • ad source / mediation source performance

The part I’m still thinking through is how to make this actionable instead of just another table of numbers.

For example:

  • if revenue drops but eCPM is stable, check impressions, fill, placement exposure, or country mix

  • if impressions and fill are stable but eCPM drops, check pricing, demand, ad source, or country mix

  • if one country or placement changed sharply, look there before changing global settings

For developers who have shipped or operated mobile games:

What metrics would you actually check every week?
What would you remove from this list?
And what would make a dashboard useful enough that a small team would keep looking at it?
