Project Overview — Chronoport
Chronoport is a 2.5D narrative episodic adventure set inside the diner of a time‑travel airport. You play as PORTER, guiding travelers as they confront unresolved emotional “baggage.” The game blends emotional storytelling with stylized presentation, requiring a stable, scalable, and thoughtfully architected Unity foundation.
Chronoport is planned as a three‑installment narrative series. We are currently in early preproduction of installment one.
Role: Lead Programmer (Unity Engine)
As Lead Programmer, you will architect and maintain the core Unity systems that power Chronoport. You will work closely with the Narrative Director, Executive Producer/CEO, and art teams to translate creative vision into reliable, performant, and extensible gameplay systems.
You will be responsible for establishing engineering standards, building foundational tools, and guiding technical decision‑making across the entire series. This role requires strong engineering discipline, clear communication, and the ability to lead by example in a volunteer‑based environment.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain core Unity systems for Chronoport (2.5D framework, scene flow, interaction systems, narrative triggers)
Translate high‑level creative direction into stable technical architecture
Collaborate respectfully with designers, writers, and artists to integrate gameplay and narrative features
Establish coding standards, documentation practices, and version‑control discipline
Develop tools and pipelines that support writers, artists, and future episodes

Work with leadership to plan technical milestones and long‑term scalability for the series
Requirements
Excellent English communication (written & verbal)
Minimum 6 months experience working on a team
Strong Unity/C# proficiency with demonstrable projects
Understanding of the game development pipeline and cross‑department workflows
High initiative, grit, and attention to detail

Ability to architect clean, modular, and maintainable systems
Bonus Qualifications
Completed a full game development cycle (preproduction → ship)
Experience with narrative‑driven or episodic games
Experience building tools for writers or designers
Familiarity with 2.5D camera systems, shaders, or stylized rendering
Experience with Unity’s new input system, timeline, or DOTS
