I decided to post here because this room gets more traffic... So, the Windows registry: To have a program run when Windows 95/98/?ME? BOOTS, just modify the registry at: ============================== HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run ============================== NO PROBLEM!!!!!! Since Microsoft is a tricky lil devil that they are, they decided to scramble your brains by making a "few" modifications to the registry for NT based Windows. Now, say you wrote a program for Windows 95/98 and you decided to "port" it to Windows NT, 2000, or XP....so, (assume you need to change registry values) you open up REGEDIT, and try to find the RUN directory....but....WHERE IS IT? You open up: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then you find: \software then you search for: \Microsoft SO FAR SO GOOD, so, then you look for: \Windows ,but you don''t find that, instead you find: \Windows NT You say to yourself, ok, not a big problem, so you find: \Current Version YAY...almost there...but, you look and look, and you can''t find: \Run WHERE IS IT? I am looking for: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Run or something that will work the same... ...advice from the insane E-Mail Website

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

You use the ''Windows'' key, not the ''Windows NT'' key, even in NT.

Also regedit has a find feature.
Just go to edit->find.
Look for run, uncheck values and data(or something like that).
If will find a few that are obviously not it, then it will find it.
