Hello, and thanks at my post here. I am designing a (take a long breath) Isometric Sci-Fi/Action/Rpg called Topia 9 set in an alternate universe (exhale). I currently have about 80 pgs of Design doc printed, but plenty more in my head, soon to be put on paper. I believe that I now have enough design doc to start actual development. First, let me answer the question everyone will be asking me. No, you will not get payed at this point. Right now, this project is just for fun and experience. Hell, if the game looks good, we will try to find a publisher, but thats a big if. So anyway, here are a list of the positions that need filling: Programmers: Must be able to program DirectX (7 or 8) Artists: For concept art, sprites, and all that Designers: I will handle most of the design, but some help would be appreciated with Weapons, Enemies, and that sort of thing. Web: If there are any bored web people out there, I thing the project could really benefit from a good looking website, so if you think you can help contact me. So, if any of the positions sound like fun to you, give me an e-mail or post. I would be glad to send over the design doc for inspection, if thats an issue.

What do you mean by action/rpg, like Diablo a mouse point clik action, or like Sega Genisis Landstaker a game controle pad action?

Don''''t say something is great by compairing it to other thing, but by what technology can do.

What kind of time devotion are you looking for?

It really depends what position you would like to help with. Mostly they are all just as much as possible.

You should probably post your experience. If you do not have any, I would like to warn you that not everybody is a "designer" by default. You won''t be able to get programmers and artists to join a team where someone else is in charge and does not have any skills justifing them being project lead. You will however be able to get several "designers" to join your team, whatever that means. If you don''t know how to program or do art, learn one of them, and then you''ll be able to find a team.

Well, I do have experience, but in stead of listing it all that, people can use me design doc as an example.

Count me in. Designer and Artist. I can churn out first class concept art, and pretty much anything else in 2D too.

That's because you don't have any experience, because you keep jumping ships! MLambert, let this one slide- I've seen Masticore start up too much stuff only to get board with it and dump it... I'm NOT saying people shouldn't join, but I'm warning you about getting your hopes up.

Joe the IDIOTIC AP,

Really... Than what other projects are you talking about. Everytime I recruit help, it is for the current project, Topia 9. Everytime I get people to help, they end up not helping. I assure you, I am not the one who is not hanging on to the project.

Ah yes, the one other project that I started. This met failure because I talked to editor Andre LaMothe and he did not need any more books, especcially not on design. Actually that was never an actual project, I was more seeing if anyone wanted to help on a book. Really, anoymouse poster, stop bugging me with that, as you have many times before, and to which i have gave you the reasons many times before.

Let me guess, you submitted a proposal for a book on game design and you have never designed a game before?

Better yet, I bet you probably haven''t even been remotely involved with a commercial game company, ever (i.e. not the crap floating around on the help wanted boards)..

Man, this board is hilarious - better than reading humor web sites. Well, not really.

Also, that other RPG I recall you posting about quite a while ago... btw, I''m obviously not the idiot here, as has been proven.
