Cryptology certainly is an interesting field of study, and I applaud you for your interest in it. There's no reason that an academic institution should choose to ignore it. Perhaps they're limited in choice of curriculum due to economic constraints. Cryptology may be deemed as a subject of no interest to the common student. Such opinions are often unfounded, as I'm sure you can attest. At any rate, the true meaning of this post lies only partially in what was said above. Generally speaking, I find deception quite revolting and must confess. This message has nothing to do with colleges. In fact, it only stresses the basic and fundamental nature of numerical circumstance.
