Can somebody suggest a good list of books that has good information on 3D Graphics and special effects, esspecially about how the approach works on 3D Game. I''m from Indonesia and buying imported books can be very expensive (only student and unemployment) so I must really really search for the best.. I''m no mathematicians so a book with a lots of formulas that I don''t understand is out of the question, I''m not saying that I''m not interested in it but what I need is a book for programmers (do I make any sense here ??) thx

Well, "the bible" of graphics programming is
"Computer Graphics, Principles and Practise" (by Foley, van Dam....) :-)
There are different versions. the original is for pascal programmers.
I have the "second edition in C"

Well, there are a lot of formulas, but explained. It''s for programmers,
but not especially for game development.

I think that mathematician comes with the territory of programming a game. Especially a 3D game that simulates real-world physics.

If you are a student, I would hone the math and physics skills as much as the programming.

That being said, I agree with misterags. "The Zen of Direct3D Game Programming" is a great starter.
