Well, I assume that just like Linux, Solaris should have no problem with any hardware modems, and since it''s an external modem, I''ll assume it''s hardware (though there do exist software external modems). If it is software, you''re SOL, because I don''t think any USR/3Com winmodems work under *nix as of yet.

So assuming it''s hardware, it should be as simple as hooking it up, really, and making sure that the /dev/modem (I think) device is pointing to the correct serial port.
