Hi all, Im working on a game right now and im planning to make it massively multiplayer. The problem is ofcourse bandwidth and seeing that the game is more of a hobby (somewhat opensource) I cant spend too much on hosting. So what I was thinking is that I would set up one large server for persistant datakeeping and every node would connect to it to find a right node (in a peer to peer way) Ofcourse, my biggest concern is cheating here. So can we open a discussion on Peer to peer security? Any experience and ideas will be very welcome. Thank you

Oh and every player will act as a server for other players, but they cant serve themselfs (so there would be nothing to gain by cheating)
Any other ideas?
