Its not pirated. My friend bought it for the full price. He just shared it with me.
OH! I get it, I''m the dumbass for thinking that that meant it was pirated....well shit, maybe I should go and get all my friends to "share" with me too!

Why are you so fucked up? Does it really matter to you. If i say its not pirated then i mean it and if you don''t belive me i don''t care ok. See sometimes bad things happend and people lose the second cd ok and i need it. So go find yourself another post where to express your emotions.

That's still piracy by definition, since the installed program can exist on two separate computers and run at the same time, yet only one copy was purchased.

Download Discreet's free gmax tool; it's basically a paired down 3DS Max which you can play with and decide if 3DS will be worth the jump for you.
Alias has also released an evaluation version of Maya, and SoftImage is taking orders for XSI. See the front page for more details.

In this one case I would advocate not closing the thread, but rather educating the poster. It's quite interesting how many users don't comprehend the extents of the term "piracy." It's stated (in rather convoluted legalese) in the EULAs you agree to by clicking Next/OK/Continue...
On a related note, if you don't want to shell out big bucks for 3DS, and you don't want to engage in piracy (you shouldn't), then consider the free/cheap alternatives Blender, MilkShape, and so forth.
