Do you fly?

I''m not a licensed pilot personally. But a good friend of mine is a C-130 pilot for the Canadian airforce. Whenever he is in town we often go flying in whatever aircraft we are able to get our hands on at the local airfield. There is nothing like flying as low as allowable over the downtown and olympic stadium areas of Montreal.

I intend to go for my own license as soon as I am able to save up the cash for it.

I''ve logged a few hours in light prop aircraft, done some aerobatics and stuff. (stall turns, barrel rolls, loops etc.)

I''d love to get a full pilots license, but simply don''t have the cash for the lessons. I did try to join the Air Squadron at uni (they pay you to learn to fly and drink beer) but they did''t let me join because I suffer from hayfever

May get my license in the next year or so. I could test out of ground school due to a lot of self study (and Flight Simulators 2, 5.1, 98, 2000, & 2002!). I also have been a virtual air traffic controler on SATCO/VATSIM for 3 years and have been trained in all manner of ATC by at least 3 real life professional controllers.

The fiance'' and I are hoping to work toward picking up a 6-seat twin prop in about 5-10 years. In the mean time, after I get my license, we plan on renting on occasion and/or getting into a pilot pool (kinda like a timeshare).
