I''ve just completed my first game! It''s called "Bing Bong", it''s a pong clone. Does anybody have any suggestions for version 2.0? Here is the link to the project showcase.

Hey, nice job! You''re farther along then I am in Java, so you should feel just great about making a working game. I''m trying to teach myself, while taking C++ in college. I tried out your game, and I thought of a few things that would help out game play.

1. Have a pair of keys, maybe pgup and pgdn, that you can press in game to adjust the speed of the game, rather than a user having to tamper with the source code.

2. Make the game pause for a second after it places a new ball on the screen. Perhaps the game could pause after a point is scored a new ball appears for a sec, and then the game resumes.

3. Develope some kinda AI for the computer I don''t know how this is done, I suppose it''s the next step in your game developement education.

All in all, nice job. And thanks for including the source, it''ll give me a chance to see how a game is set up. I can try to add those fixes myself maybe heh.

Thanks!

In the newer build.. I''ve considerably cleaned up the code, added images instead of drawings, changed some of the ball dynamics, added a Credits screen, and have added a timer Which will adjust the positions of the ball and computer player in accordinance with the running time of the game... like an actual speed, instead of just basing it on refreshes.

The new build should be online some time this morning. Feel free to send me images to use.. as the ones i''ve got now kinda suck
