Does anybody have any experience with the linksys cable/dsl router? I just pick up this unit a couple of days ago, but I haven''t been able to set it up correctly. Basically my problem is I can''t get a connection to the internet through the router. Here''s my configuration OS:Window 2000 Professional ISP:Roger High Speed cable Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Marques

You''re router should have a static internal IP address like 192.168.0.1

In Win2k you need to set your default gateway to the nat''s IP

Then make sure your Primary and Secondary name server IP''s are set correctly in Win2k.

I have a Linksys 8-Port Workgroup switch...

You have to set a static IP address for each computer connected, like one computer got:

196.168.0.1 (Server)

then

198.168.0.2
198.168.0.3

... etc...

Well I finally got my router to work .

I would like to personally thank Programmer One and KalvinB for your tips.

And for those of you who are thinking of buying a linksys dsl/cable router and have Roger''s Highspeed cable connection.

Here''s a tip to avoid problems with linksys cable/dsl router in the future.

Configure your network as you would normally do and make sure you put in the linksys router hostname your roger''s client id there and in your router''s domain name put "@home"

That''s it folks.
