Is it possible to change the way windows handles selection? Instead of a linear selecting, I would like to be able to control the selecting order, style, what have you. Is this possible? If so, what should I look for as a reference/starting point? Thanks in advance.

List[view] controls can handle multiple selection. Look under their style flags and window messages in the docs.

I mean like selecting in an edit control or similar.

Like selecting this sentance;

Not selecting this sentance;

But selecting also this sentance;

Is that possible?

In normal windows, you use shift ant control. Shift to select liniar and control to select individual items.

If your program uses a listbox the user has to know about these controls OR you could actually code in that the Control button is active when clicking the listbox.

I VB I think that the listbox property Selection must be set to simple or multiple.
Why make it simple when you can make it sooo nice and complicated?
