I am looking for simple to the point tutorals for directx 8 on how to make a 3d engine like that of the Decent Freespace one and i know little on directx and less on 3d programming!!!! if some one know of a place where i can get it that would be cool. The best RPG has yet to come into being (only ''''cause I cant do it all

I''m not even sure where to start with this one. First off, learn the 3D programming. Then learn an API. Then you can start worrying about an engine. I don''t mean to rain on your parade, but it''s like asking for tutorials on brain surgery, and then admitting you don''t know much about physiology or anatomy. Learn to walk before you can run.

That said, I''ve really enjoyed Nehe''s OpenGL tutorials.

On the DX side you can try NeXe. It''s DirectX flavored NeHe
