Hi! I''m using DXSprite for all my 2D graphics, I''ve encapsulated it to make a Big Bitmap Engine, a Animations class and stuff. But... I''m having crappy FPS Haven''t checked the numbers (have to write a FPS counter class) but it moves waaay to slow! I _was_ calling DXSprite->Begin() for everything needed to be blitted, now I''ve changed that and only call Begin() once per frame. But that didn''t increase anything! Any tips on how to make stuff go faster?? "No lies of sugar can sweeten the sournes of reality" }+TITANIUM+{ A.K.A. DXnewbie[onMIRC]

G''day!

You are calling sprite->End() at the end of each frame, right?

Here''s an easy to plug in FPS timer:

It comes with full source so you can mangle it to your heart''s content.
