Hello! I don''t really know if I have come to the right forum, but i think my problem is connected to DirectX... Ever since I started to use DirectInput in my OpenGL program, i have had trouble with a program called ddhelp. My program runs like it should. But when I run it once, closes it, and then tries to run it a second time, ddhelp crashes. After that I can''t run any OpenGL or DirectX programs at all, I have to reboot. I''m sorry if this is off-topic, but this is a serious trouble for me, and I don''t really know where to ask. Any help is appreciated. / Qwanda.

DDHELP "cleans up" after any application which misuses DirectX. For example if an application allocated some surfaces or held an interface to an input device but never released them when it exited, DDHELP "watches" and releases them after the application has exited.

If the application left DirectX in a volatile state, this clean up might go wrong and DDHELP will crash (though the problem often lies in the application!!).

There is a utility called KillHelp in the utilities which come with the SDK - try running after your application...
