Hi, I was wondering if anyone has succesfully created an MD3 model loader/animation. I got a tutorial from gametutorials.com for MD3 loading/animation. It''s demo uses OpenGL and I''m trying to convert it to work with DirectX. I use a DrawIndexedPrimitive call and the model kind of looks like the shape of what it''s supposed to be. For instance with the tutorial there is a Lara Croft model. Her head shape is correct but it ends up as a series of triangles meshed into a something like a ball but more like her head. I have a feeling it''s the indices are there any differences with the indices used in OpenGl and DX. probably not. If anyone has done this or know a tutorial on MD3 using DX I would really appreciate it. I did see a tutorial on GameDev but it was MD2 and used a DrawPrimitiveUP call and doesn''t use indices. Thanks W

Totally random guess, but make sure you are not using 32bit indices with directx - most cards dont support them (although openGL seems to do it okay - probably handles the conversion in the driver..?). If you are, that would explain why see a kind of shape, in amongst the jumbled mess .
