Heya. Have search and searched to no avail, so I ask. I am writing just some basic directdraw structure stuff, teaching myself the whole schabang (program does nothing). When I run my little architecture instead of the screen being black, half (the left side) is black and the other side is a combo of colorful horizontal lines and whatever happens to be in the background (i.e. desktop or VC++ code). I''ve added a little delay to the code between flips and it seems that one buffer has the colorful lines and the other the background...although, I''m not smart enough to figure out what is what upon initialization. I''ve commented out the following code which is basically the call to flip and this fixes the problem. lpddsprimary->Flip(NULL, DDFLIP_WAIT) Being a newbie, I am not sure if this is due to the fact that I am (at least I think I am) flipping two pages of nothing, or a code problem. blessings upon you and yours for any help...
