Not many nasty posts these days, so hopefully people are feeling reasonable: This has helped my clarify a large number of issues I have w/r/t online discussion. May others find it equally useful. ld

basically the only time nasty posts occer is when other posters do one of the following:

1. ask a VERY broad unreasonable question, and insist on someone answering it.

2. assert that something obviously false or impratical is the way to solve a problem.

3. the poster is feeling rather grumpy that day.

4. the person asking the question happens to ask a question that is so blantly obvious if they spent 2mins doing a search on google, the faq, the forum, sdk, etc they could have solved it themselves.

there are a few more probably, but those are the main ones that cause me to make slightly nasty posts sometimes. i guess its human nature, heh.
