Q3BSP Tools

There is some open-source tools to build q3bsp file? I have q3build, but it works too long. I i want to see some sources for it. I want to build q3bsp not from q3radiant "map" files, but from ASE ( 3DMAX ) or Maya, so is there some already done tools for it? Thanks!
