Hi ! Does somebody know how to create these Hyperlink-style controls as they''re used in "About"-Dialogs very often? (It can''t be too hard, because many people use ''em..) At the moment i am using a pushbutton that calls ShellExecute to open my Homepage. Thanx for your help! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Andreas Mähler Wolf359 Interactive

I''m not 100% sure but I thought I read a while back that WinXP had a Hyperlink control as part of its common controls. I''m sure that old versions of Windows do not have this control and it would be required for you to make your own.

If you do a search at Google for "Hyperlink Control" you get a lot of hits.

This one looks like a good one.

Assuming you''re using MFC, It would be trivial to inherit from CStatic and handle the mouse moving over the link and clicking on the link.

Well, that''s my problem: I don''t use MFC.
I had a look at all results listed by Google, and they''re either MFC or VB.

Try the following: make sure your static text control has SS_NOTIFY style. In your DlgProc, handle STN_CLICKED hotification through WM_COMMAND, and call ShellExecute from there.
---visit #directxdev on afternet <- not just for directx, despite the name

If you''re not too picky (and a bit lazy) you can also just use a button and call ShellExecute from it''s handler.

Yep - as i mentioned in my first post, that''s exactly what i am doing at the moment. But a *real* hyperlink would be cooler
